2003-2004 Commander of  the Greater Washington Chapter 353 Eugen Forster passes the gavel to the newly elected 2004-2005 Chapter Commander Steve Cobb. This unique gavel is made of  raw, unpolished cherry wood  from a cherry tree grown at Ferry Farm, the boyhood home of George Washington, Commander-in-Chief  of  the U.S. Army during the American Revolution and the  first President of  the United States of America.
